My bachelor work was design the lighthouse for Napajedla. The place for the building had been given. My work was inspired by one specific product which is made by company Fatra which is placed in Napajedla. In the past there was a famous designer Libuše Niklová worked for this company. My work is inspired by one her specific toy – air-supported giraffe. I chose that toy because of its proportions and colour which are suitable for the topic of Lighthouse. This building should honour Mrs. Niklová and remind her job. In the same time, it is an advertisement for Company Fatra.
The big air-supported giraffe is proper lighthouse near the port, especially in the night, because there are LED lights inside the object. During the day it is visible because of its size and yellow colour.
